The Matoaca Warriors won against the Prince George Royals last Friday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Matoaca claimed a resounding 45-0 victory over Prince George on the road. Given Matoaca's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Prince George is ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Matoaca was led to victory by Bryce Yates and Ryley Justus. Yates picked up 100 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Justus threw for 249 yards and five touchdowns on only 19 passes. Justus hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Matoaca's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points per game. As for Prince George, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Matoaca will be playing in front of their home fans against Dinwiddie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dinwiddie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Prince George, they will head out on the road to face off against Hopewell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
