After flying high against Shiprock  last Thursday, Bloomfield came back down to earth. The Bloomfield Bobcats fell  12-8 to the Miyamura Patriots on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bloomfield of the  7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
  Caitlin Zepeda was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nevaeh Archuleta, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  triple and a  run.
 On Miyamura's side,  ALEXIA HOWE was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  LEONA JOE, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run and four  RBI.
 Bloomfield now  has a losing record at 10-11. As for Miyamura, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Kirtland Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Miyamura, they will be playing at home against Shiprock at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
