The Frankenmuth Eagles extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Kingsford Flivvers. They put the hurt on the Flivvers with a sharp 35-13 win. The victory was nothing new for Frankenmuth as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Frankenmuth had a senior duo take command as Jack Rich rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns and Hunter Bernthal rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Another reason for the win was Frankenmuth's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Nicklaus Hoesman and Colin Main who racked up four sacks between them.
Frankenmuth pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.38 points. As for Kingsford, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Frankenmuth will take on Catholic Central at TBD on Saturday. Catholic Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games. Kingsford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
