After flying high against the Sedgwick Cardinals last Friday, the Kingman Eagles came back down to earth. Kingman took a serious blow against Pratt on Tuesday, falling 69-39. Kingman lost against Pratt in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-44 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Kingman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Webster. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Kingman has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Pratt, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Nickerson at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Pratt will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Haven on January 5, 2024.
