The Bowie Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Irvin Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Irvin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bowie, who comes in off a win.
Bowie scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Fabens as Bowie made off with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for Bowie, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit Fabens with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Kevin Hernandez (4),
Joshua Hernandez (2),
Abraham Chaparro (2), and
Jared Castaneda.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Irvin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Harmony Science Academy.
Bowie's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for Irvin, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
Bowie came out on top in a nail-biter against Irvin in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Will Bowie repeat their success, or does Irvin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
