The New Horizons Prep Academy Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 67 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clarkston.
Jonathan McBride continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clarkston, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 10 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which McBride has scored at least 25% of Clarkston's points. Lawerence Reeves was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
New Horizons Prep Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Clarkston, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Horizons Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 18, 2024. As for Clarkston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest DeKalb at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest DeKalb presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clarkston in Georgia (Southwest DeKalb is ranked 249th, while Clarkston is ranked 508th).
