Sultana is 2-8 against Oak Hills since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Sultana Sultans on the road again and play against the Oak Hills Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Sultana focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
Last Friday, Sultana lost to Burroughs on the road by a decisive 66-50 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Leland Price, who scored 15 points along with two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Kenyon Peters was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, even though Adelanto scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Oak Hills still came out on top. Oak Hills snuck past Adelanto with a 63-57 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oak Hills.
Sultana's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-17. As for Oak Hills, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
Sultana took a serious blow against Oak Hills in their previous matchup on January 5th, falling 89-33. Can Sultana avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
