St. Francis Borgia proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Father Tolton. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win Father Tolton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Drew Eckhoff looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Brody O'Hanlon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Braxtyn Frankenberg, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Francis Borgia's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Father Tolton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-1.

Coming up, St. Francis Borgia will venture away from home to square off against Lutheran South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Father Tolton, they will challenge Vianney at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
