The South Stokes Sauras will be home for the holidays to greet the East Forsyth Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Stokes has eight straight wins, East Forsyth has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
South Stokes has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 80-26 win over Alleghany at home. That 80-26 margin sets a new team best for South Stokes this season.
Meanwhile, East Forsyth pushed their score all the way to 69 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Davie. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (60), East Forsyth still had to take the loss.
South Stokes pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for East Forsyth, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-7 record last season and are now at 1-5.
South Stokes came up short against East Forsyth when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 64-56. Will South Stokes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
