The Springboro Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Springfield Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Springboro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Springboro was able to grind out a solid win over Waynesville, taking the game 19-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Bella Miller was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylene Seibel, who went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.
Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact: Springboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Springfield strolled into their game last Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over Urbana.
Leeauna Rardon made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jazzdyn Frock, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Savanna Vela, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Springboro's record is now 5-3. As for Springfield, their record now sits at 3-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Springboro has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Springfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Springboro's way against Springfield in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Springboro made off with a 17-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
