The Peetz Bulldogs stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Kiowa at home to the tune of 69-31. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-17.
Peetz's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Schumacher, who scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schumacher has scored all season. Noah Naegele was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Peetz is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Kiowa, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peetz will take on Weldon Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Peetz is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Colorado (they are ranked 123rd, while Weldon Valley is ranked 333rd). As for Kiowa, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Briggsdale at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully Briggsdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday.
