The Unioto Shermans were the 66-63 winner over the Jackson Ironman/Ironladies when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Unioto received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 63-46 to Jackson.
Despite the defeat, Unioto had strong showings from K.B. Perkins, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three blocks, and Blake Fitch, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Fitch scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Newton Hoops, who scored six points.
Unioto now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Unioto will take on Southeastern at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
