There's no place like home for the Cliffside Park Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past Dumont with a 51-47 win on Thursday. For Cliffside Park, this counts as revenge for the 60-52 loss Dumont walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cliffside Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Calabrese, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Jerelz Ortiz was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cliffside Park's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Dumont, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
Cliffside Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-57 loss vs. Saddle River Day on the 10th. Dumont will head out on the road to face off against Bergenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
