Foley Kedzior was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Warren Woods-Tower: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-20 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arjay Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, De La Salle Collegiate had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Troy 7-1 on Thursday.
Zackary Wagner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Dane Debbrecht was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Pilarski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Warren Woods-Tower's victory bumped their record up to 6-22. As for De La Salle Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
Warren Woods-Tower couldn't quite finish off De La Salle Collegiate in their previous meeting back in May of 2017 and fell 5-3. Will the Titans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
