On Friday, The Arlington Admirals got themselves on the board against the Suffern Mounties, but the Suffern Mounties never followed suit. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 30-0 win over the Mounties. Fans of Arlington have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Arlington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick DeGuisto, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Luke Lavello got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The win for Arlington keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Yonkers Brave [Saunders Trades & Tech/Lincoln/Riverside/Palisade Prep] and 1-6 Ketcham (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 43.1% over those games). As for Suffern, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
Arlington will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ossining at 6:30 p.m. Ossining will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Arlington is ranked 21st). As for Suffern, they will head out on the road to face off against Mamaroneck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mamaroneck will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
