Providence Classical has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Fletcher Falcons at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Providence Classical has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Providence Classical scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Carolina Christian 76-47 on the road. Providence Classical has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 28 points or more this season.
Providence Classical had a senior duo take command as Xan Rahalawicz dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 11 assists, and ten steals and Isaac Martin dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rahalawicz has scored at least a third of Providence Classical's points. Collin Davis was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Fletcher, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 58-11 loss at the hands of Walnut Grove Christian. Fletcher has struggled against Walnut Grove Christian recently, as their match last Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Providence Classical's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5. As for Fletcher, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Providence Classical against Fletcher in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-30 win. With Providence Classical ahead 37-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
