Ridge has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Bridgewater-Raritan likes a good challenge.
Ridge pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-55 to Phillipsburg.
Meanwhile, Bridgewater-Raritan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bound Brook. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, they bumped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Ridge took their victory against Bridgewater-Raritan in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 66-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
