The Kecoughtan Warriors were the 28-15 winner over the Heritage Hurricanes when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Kecoughtan was dealt a 34-7 loss at the hands of Heritage on Thursday. Kecoughtan was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Heritage had a senior duo take command as Derrick Gurley jr threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns and Sterling Anderson picked up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Kecoughtan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Heritage, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.
Kecoughtan will be playing at home against Menchville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Menchville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Heritage, they will face off against Woodside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodside comes in on a streak of failing to score more than ten points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
