Boone has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Master's Academy Eagles in a holiday battle at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at. Boone knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Master's Academy likes a good challenge.
Boone has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Windermere at home to the tune of 64-19. With Boone ahead 36-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Boone had a senior duo take command as Mckenna Murphy scored 20 points along with five assists and four steals and Victoria DelaCruz scored 19 points along with three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Murphy has scored at least 25% of Boone's points. Danika Ballard was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Master's Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 45-44 to Oviedo.
Boone's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Master's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
