Eagle Academy were the 74-61 winner over the Weequahic Indians when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Eagle Academy suffered a rough 60-39 loss at the hands of Weequahic on Tuesday. Eagle Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Weequahic found their leader in underclassman Tyhir Barlow, who scored 24 points. The matchup was Barlow's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tasir Barnes, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Eagle Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Weequahic, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Academy will take on Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weequahic, they will be playing at home against Newark Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
