It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Eau Gallie Commodores can now relate to. They took a 21-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sebring on Friday. It was the first time this season that Eau Gallie let down their fans at home.
Several Commodores players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmanuel Small, who rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Delvonte Williams, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Sebring's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travis Kerney, who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 72 yards and a touchdown. Walsone Beaubrian was another key contributor, rushing for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Eau Gallie's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Sebring, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Eau Gallie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sebring will head out on the road to face off against Mainland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
