Basketball Recap: Northridge's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northridge extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Sophia Carbajal. The Northridge Grizzlies strolled past the Greeley Central Wildcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-38 thanks to Carbajal, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 19 rebounds. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey McGeen, who posted 11 points and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Greeley Central's loss came despite strong showings from Aaniya Davis and Madison Sepeda. Davis went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points along with eight boards and three steals, while Sepeda earned ten points and five steals.

Northridge's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Greeley Central, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11.

Coincidentally, Northridge and Greeley Central will both be playing Mountain View the next time they take the court. Northridge will head out to face Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Greeley Central will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
