Garcia is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Padilla, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
When it comes to explaining why Marcos de Niza lost, one person who can't be blamed is James Steward. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Steward is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Dj Drew was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Seton Catholic's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Marcos de Niza, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic will face off against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games. As for Marcos de Niza, they will head out on the road to square off against Saguaro at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Saguaro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Wednesday.
