Volleyball Recap: Peru Starts off Right with Win over Carroll

Peru gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Carroll Cougars. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Peru was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-6.

Jacey Boswell paced Peru's offense, picking up ten kills. Boswell got some help from Addie Buhtt and her 13 assists. Addison Robbins and Kaelyn Edwards kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Coincidentally, Peru and Carroll will both be playing Blackford the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Bruins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
