Winchester Community hadn't done well against Wapahani recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Golden Falcons put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 10-3 win. Considering the Golden Falcons have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Landen Porfidio, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Dravin Whitehead was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Winchester Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in five consecutive games.

Winchester Community pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Wapahani, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Coincidentally, Winchester Community and Wapahani will both be playing Northeastern the next time they take the field. The Golden Falcons will head out to face the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
