Melrose escaped with a win on Friday against Union City by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51. That's two games straight that Melrose has won by exactly a single point.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Melrose to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devin Sanders Jr, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sanders Jr is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of William Carver, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Melrose has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Union City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.
