After a string of three wins, the Dover Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Parsippany 59-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Arthur Smith, who scored 22 points along with two steals for Parsippany. Smith continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. David Niedermaier was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Dover now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Parsippany, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Dover will head out on the road to take on Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Mountain Lakes is ranked 304th, while Dover is ranked 305th). As for Parsippany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morristown-Beard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
