Homer proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 21) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers 61-59. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Homer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexandra Albrecht, who went 7-for-12 from beyond the arc to rack up 23 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Albrecht also posted a 62% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Janessa Overgaard, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 16 boards.

Homer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Bailey Murphy and Addison James certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Murphy went 6-for-14 en route to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals, while James went 8-for-18 on her way to 22 points. Murphy has become a key player for Bancroft-Rosalie: the team is 6-2 when she posts at least five steals, but 4-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kairece Morris, who posted five points and seven boards.

Homer's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Homer has already played their next contest, a 41-28 win against Bloomfield on the 14th. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-38 victory against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 14th.
