Luc Aguilar Turns in Season-Best Performance
Seton Catholic was led to victory by Luc Aguilar, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Aguilar rushed for 298 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Aguilar has averaged 43.7 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 14.

Kanai Hongo Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Thursday, Gila Ridge got the W thanks in part to Kanai Hongo playing the best football he has all season. Hongo rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Gila Ridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
The victory got Gila Ridge back to even at 3-3. Hongo and Gila Ridge will square off against Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
