1A Nisqually - Division 2 recap Oct. 16, 2012
Charles Wright extended the longest winning streak in 1A Nisqually - Division 2 this week by beating Chimacum, 34-15. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Tarriers.
Charles Wright led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Cowboys. Fritz Jacobson threw for 113 yards and one touchdown and ran for 10 yards in the win.
The Tarriers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Raheem Hughey chipped in 73 yards. Alexander Moore helped Charles Wright's passing attack out by catching two balls for 26 yards.
Collin Hungate was the best wideout in the league this week as Charles Wright beat Chimacum. Hungate racked up two receptions for 48 yards.
The Tarriers' Jacobson and Beau Iverson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A Nisqually - Division 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Jacobson has thrown for 595 yards this season, while Iverson, a 6-foot-8 receiver, has 10 catches for 214 yards. Shawn Meacham's team's Melvin Thornton leads the league in rushing yards with 862.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cedar Park Christian takes on Life Christian Academy. The Eagles are in second place, while the Eagles are in fourth place.
