Niles came out on top against Three Rivers on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Vikings blew past the Wildcats 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 17 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Niles pushed their record up to 24-6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Three Rivers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Niles will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
