The Pennsbury Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Souderton Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pennsbury fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Neshaminy with a 28-24 victory on Friday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Pennsbury was the better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Souderton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 49-14 victory over Bensalem at home. Considering Souderton has won six matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Souderton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Danny Dyches out in front who rushed for 25 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 74 receiving yards. Hayden Swartley got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Pennsbury's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Souderton, their victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
Everything came up roses for Pennsbury against Souderton in their previous meeting back in September of 2015 as the squad secured a 37-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pennsbury since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
