The Mississinewa Indians will square off against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mississinewa comes in on four and Alexandria-Monroe on 11.
Mississinewa will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Madison-Grant, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Indians walked away with a 12-7 win over the Argylls on Saturday. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten the Argylls on their field since May 18, 2019.
Brooklynn Nash was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jaeli Miller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Allie Trejo was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Mississinewa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madison-Grant only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Alexandria-Monroe ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Shenandoah 3-2. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Brynlee Humphries spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 17 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kinley Webb, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Mississinewa pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mississinewa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Alexandria-Monroe struggles in that department as they've averaged .447. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mississinewa might still be hurting after the 10-2 defeat they got from Alexandria-Monroe in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Indians have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
