Capital had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lincoln on Friday. The Cougars blew past the Abes 12-2. Considering the Cougars have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Capital has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 0-17 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Capital has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Olympia on the 26th. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Abes are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
