The Peebles Indians lost to the Fairfield Lions back in January, but the Peebles Indians didn't allow the Fairfield Lions the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Peebles came out on top against Fairfield by a score of 56-45.
Payton Johnson went supernova for Peebles, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Peebles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Gray, who scored 5 points.
The victory got Peebles back to even at 1-1. As for Fairfield, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peebles will stay at home for another game and welcome North Adams at 7:30 p.m. on December 4th. Fairfield will take on Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th.
