On Friday, Martensdale-St. Mary's couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 0-45 loss at the hands of Clarke. The state rankings had actually given Martensdale-St. Mary's a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
