The Niceville Eagles had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed by Leon at home to the tune of 62-7. The result was nothing new for Niceville, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Kane Lafortune had a dynamite game for Niceville, throwing for 278 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Caden Bridgeman, who picked up 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Niceville's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points per game. As for Leon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Niceville will head out on the road to face off against Mosley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mosley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Niceville is ranked 34th). As for Leon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crestview is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
