The Stratton Eagles will take on the Idalia Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Stratton will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.
Stratton had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Springfield on Saturday. Stratton was the clear victors by a 72-50 margin over Springfield. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Longhorns are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stratton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Von Isenbart, who shot 53% from the field to rack up 21 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. The game was Isenbart's eighth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Schillig, who posted 15 points and five rebounds.
Stratton was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only three assists.
Meanwhile, Idalia narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Prairie 40-37.
Stratton better focus on containing Broderick Kite and Gabe Kechter as the pair were huge in Idalia's win. Kite dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards, while Kechter put up eight points and nine rebounds.
Stratton's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points over those games. As for Idalia, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Stratton has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Idalia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything went Stratton's way against Idalia when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Stratton made off with a 60-37 win. In that match, Stratton amassed a halftime lead of 33-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
