The biggest upset of the week belonged to William Floyd, who took down 83rd ranked Sachem North, 36-3.
Bay Shore's Matthias Eato recorded the longest rushing play in Section 11 Division I this season in his game against Ward Melville last week. Eato's team defeated the Patriots as he sprinted for 60 yards on the play and finished with 143 in all.
Bay Shore's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Mazzie threw for 127 and one touchdown and Joel Nunez had 85 yards receiving. McKinley Skinner helped Bay Shore's passing attack out by catching two balls for 17 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback A.j. Otranto of the Colonials is the league leader in passing yards this season with 741. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, Jim Giattino's team's Eato has rushed for 778 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Skinner. The Bay Shore star has 22 catches for 502 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when William Floyd takes on Northport. Paul Longo's team is currently in second, while the Tigers are in fifth.
Mazzie and Nunez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Ward Melville. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in Section 11 Division I this season.
