The Jordan-Matthews Jets had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Cummings out 38-36. The victory was just what Jordan-Matthews needed coming off of a 63-12 defeat in their prior game.
Jordan-Matthews found their leader in underclassman Jada Scott, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Brooklin Quee was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Jordan-Matthews' win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Cummings, they bumped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Jordan-Matthews will take on Graham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cummings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bartlett Yancey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bartlett Yancey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
