 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Greeneville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are 10-2 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Meanwhile, Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Grainger.
 Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Greeneville, they now  have a winning record of 14-13.
 Greeneville took their  victory against Cherokee  in their previous matchup  on Thursday by a conclusive  14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greene Devils since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
