Glasgow has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Elkton Golden Elks at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 89-5, which was the final score in Glasgow's tilt against Howard last Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glasgow has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Elkton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-36 to C. Milton Wright. Elkton has not had much luck with C. Milton Wright recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Elkton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. LeeAnn Pugh, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Brynn Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Glasgow bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.4 points per game. As for Elkton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
