 In other batting news,  Luella Whipkey was a standout: she fired off two  home runs and three  RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Emma Michaud, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Oscoda was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .440. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 Alcona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Oscoda, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
