It was a good run, but the Lincoln Southeast Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 58-46 to Pius X. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lincoln Southeast has scored all season.
Lincoln Southeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Hilkemann, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mike Ngoyi, who scored ten points.
Pius X had a senior duo take command as Treyson Anderson dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds and Adam Searcey scored 16 points. The match was Anderson's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Aiden Brass was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Lincoln Southeast's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Pius X, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Lincoln Southeast will be playing at home against Papillion-LaVista at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pius X, they will head out on the road to face off against Omaha Westside at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
