After a string of four wins, the Onalaska Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 61-46 to Crockett. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Onalaska in their matchups with Crockett: they've now lost three in a row.
Onalaska lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shaylan Linear, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Faith Tyerman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Onalaska's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Crockett, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Onalaska will be playing at home against New Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. New Waverly is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Crockett, they will head out on the road to face off against Tarkington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Tarkington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1179th, while Crockett is ranked 488th).
