In what's become a running theme this season, the Mineral County Serpents gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Coleville with a sharp 73-53 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Mineral County as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mineral County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Stinson, who scored eight points along with ten assists and eight steals. It was the first time this season that Stinson posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of DeVayne Isom, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Mineral County's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Coleville, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mineral County will take on Sage Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Coleville, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Virginia City at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Virginia City will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Coleville surely won't give up without a fight.
