Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Tampa Bay Tech

Tampa Bay Tech came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Leto Falcons as they made off with an 18-7 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Grace B was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off one hit. That hit marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Alanis B was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Taliyah H, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tampa Bay Tech pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.7 runs over those games. As for Leto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Tampa Bay Tech will challenge Strawberry Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Strawberry Crest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Leto, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Leto Falcons take on Alonso Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. They also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 9.3 runs per game.
