Covenant Day meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Crusaders squad that has allowed just 28.82 points per contest. The Covenant Day Lions skirted past the Curtis Baptist Crusaders 59-56. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions who have now won six games in a row.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Kilroy, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliyah Terry, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Covenant Day's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Curtis Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Covenant Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Palmetto Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Curtis Baptist, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Paintsville at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
