The Green Canyon Wolves typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Ridgeline Riverhawks proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 59-45 victory over the Wolves. That's another feather in the cap for Ridgeline, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jagger Francom continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Cox, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Green Canyon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaac Filimoehala, who scored five points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Layker Ward, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Green Canyon, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeline will challenge Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bear River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 510 points over their last eight games. As for Green Canyon, they will head out on the road to take on Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Kaden Hess and Jared Anderson.
