Sharon had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Nauset Regional 7-6. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose. This was the first game for both teams, giving Sharon a 1-0 record and starting Nauset Regional off at 0-1.
Next week Sharon take on Ashland at Ashland MS at 7:00 PM. Nauset Regional will stay at home against Monomoy at 7:00 PM.
